The display has photos of the British and Americans landings in North Africa. A battle scene of the battle of Kasserine Pass is also displayed. The German Panzers, seen on the left of the display, are attacking the Americans M3 light Stuart, M3 medium Grant and M4 Sherman on the right. A model of the German Panzer IV on the left side of the display and a model of the Americans M3 light Stuart tank on the right. Note: we have two Stuart tanks and two Sherman Tanks on display on the floor of the museum. The German tanks used in Tunisia were, Panzer II (9 tons light tank with 20- millimeter main gun) used for reconnaissance, Panzer III the warhorse of the Panzergruppe (25 tons medium tank with 50-millimeter main gun), Panzer IV (25 tons medium tank with 75-millimeter long barrel, high-velocity main gun, suitable also for antitank use. The Panzer IV was the mainstay of the German Panzer divisions for most of the war due to a shortage of newer replacement Panther and Tiger tanks. The Panzer IV continued to form the core of Germany's armored divisions through 1944. The Panzer IV tank, the Panther V and Tiger (54 tons heavy tank with 88-millimeter main gun) were produced in limited numbers but had overwhelming firepower. The Americans tanks used in Tunisia was the M3 Stuart tank (a 32,400 lb light tank with a 37-millimeter main gun), M3 Lee (30 tons medium tank with 75-millimeter side mount main gun and a 37 millimeter turret mounted gun), and M4 Sherman (30 tons medium tank with 75-main gun.
