Army Officer's Formal Dress Mess Blue Uniform: This was the formal uniform used by all Army officers, for all formal Affairs, such as Military Balls, all social events after 6:PM. General Officers Mess Dress Uniform (Note: Stars on sleeve), with miniature Medals. NOTE: Badge on the left breast is a badge awarded to military personnel who served in the Pentagon/Army Staff. The (Brigadier General) uniform is displaying 5 rows of ribbons, Leadership tabs (Green), Army Staff Badge (Green, Gold & Black) left breast pocket. Senior Jump Wings, (left Breast Pocket Flap). This uniform would only be used for formal occasions.

NOTE: General Officers do not wear Branch Insignia on their Uniforms. Red and Green forager (worn on the left shoulder is an award by Belgian Army for valorous service in WW I & II. If in the unit at the time of award (Right Shoulder), if assigned to the unit after award was given (Left Shoulder).

Warrant Officer's Uniform: W/Hat, Army Dress Blue, anodized Buttons, Sleeve Stripe denoting the Warrant Officer Branch (Gold with (Brown Stripe), & CW2

(Chief Warrant Officer Grade 2) Shoulder Boards (Gold Bullion), Master EOD Badge (L) breast - 5 Rows of ribbons. Right Breast: Presidential Unit Citation(PUC), Meritorious Unit Citation(MUC), Ordnance Regimental Crest, Spanish Military Instructors Badge, Warrant Officer Insignia (2), US Insignia (2), Blue Trousers with Gold Stripe. For day wear the officer would use the "four in hand tie" and traditionally after 6 p.m. the officer would wear a "Bow Tie" with the uniform, thus becoming formal attire. 

The Army had two "Dress Uniforms" Dress Mess and Dress Blues, (both depicted in the above photos). There was a Dress White uniform used in tropical locations or during the summer, with a similar cut as the Dress Mess and Dress Blues.23 10 Uniforms 1B#1 Navy officer's Summer (Sun Tan) Tropical Uniform w/shoulder boards, denoting the rank of Ensign (2nd Lt) in all other services. This uniform was used in summer months and was used as an "every day" uniforms in Navy bases in the tropics. E.G Hawaii and Bahamas etc. Black Shoes: (Standard Navy wear). The Navy also authorized a a long and a short sleeve shirt to be worn, in lieu of the jacket. the shirts were more popular due to the Uniform Jacket retaining the heat. 

#2 Navy Officers Blue Winter (undressed -Not formal wear), w/black shoes, w/white shirt and Black tie, Shoulder Boards indicate the rank of Commander (Lt. Col). Uniform was normally used during the winter, and considered a Semi formal uniform as compared to Dress Mess Whites or Dress Mess Blues  (Formal Attire). The Officer is Wearing full size: Armed Forces Reserve Medal & U.S. Navy Expert Rifleman Badge.

#3 Navy Enlisted Man's Winter (Blue ) Jumper, with buttoned cuffs,(Also known as "Liberty Cuffs), which most Sailors had embroidered with Dragon's if they had served in the Far East" bragging Right's")  and "Bell bottom Trousers. With Blue Cover (Hat), WW-II. 1st Class insignia (E-6) , Neck Scarf (Blue). A White hat is now used with this uniform. 

#4 Air Force General Officer's Blue Uniform w/ Blue Hat. This uniform was implemented 1950's when Air Force  left the Army and went to Blue uniforms as a stand alone organization.  This is the uniform with Ribbon Set, w/Master Aviators Badge, Black shoes, Blue Neck Tie, Blue Poplin Shirt was worn by  Major General Melvin Bowling, (1933 - 2022).  He was born  in Lacey's Spring, Alabama.  General Bowling proudly served his country through a 28 year career in the Air Force.  He retired in 1982 as a Major General.  His military career included tours in Vietnam and Korea and the receipt of several commendations, including the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

 #5  Army Olive Drab (OD) Class "A" Uniform. Sergeant, wearing an Military Police Arm Band, With Ribbon set,  2 rows of ribbons (WW_II),  Bloused Brown Jump Boots, OD MP Helmet Liner w/Enlisted insignia. Poplin Shirt w/ OD Neck Tie.

#6 Marine Green Uniform w/cap w/ Master Sergeant E-8  Stripes, Service Stripes (Hash Marks) on sleeve,  Marine Corps insignia on lapels, 5-Rows of Ribbons, Belt,  Black shoes.

#7 Army Dress Blue Uniform Worn on formal occasions, W/Hat Anodized Buttons, Sleeve Stripe - GOLD &BROWN (Warrant Officer) & CW -2 Shoulder Boards (Gold Bullion), Master EOD Badge (L) breast-5 Rows of ribbons. Right Breast PUC, MUC, Ordnance Regimental Crest, Spanish Military Academy Instructors Badge. Warrant Officer Insignia (2),  US Insignia (2),  Blue Trousers with Gold Stripe. Black Shoes.2 rows of 

#8 Army Officer Formal Wear Dress Mess Blue Uniform (Major General- 2 Star): This uniform would be worn on formal occasions, that a civilian would wear a Tuxedo. The General is wearing miniature  ribbon set,  A White House Staff Badge

#9 Men 's Dress Mess White Uniform, (with Major & Ordnance Corps  insgnia , with Gold Braid on Cap visor, and Gold Braid on sleeve), three rows of ribbons used in Tropical Climates, e.g. Hawaii, Porto Rico, Panama, During the 30' s through the 60,s. replacing the Blue and Dress Mess Uniform , in those areas for evening wear and special occasions  The uniform was replaced by the Dress Blue uniform with the introduction of  polyester and other light weight materials.    

#10 Woman's Green AG-44  In 1976 the Army adopted a polyester wool gabardine pant suit for female officers and enlisted women. This uniform was fist worn by those performing military police duty. By 1977 this uniform was made available Army wide. It is worn with a light green blouse and a black tie tab. This particular uniform depicts a "First Lieutenant with collar insignia indicating she is detailed as an Aide-de-camp to a brigadier (one star) general.
